App settings

Settings at the foot of the sidebar holds the settings for the app itself. Its left menu has five sections: Appearance, Profile defaults, General, API & MCP and About.

Saved on this computer

Everything in Settings is stored on the machine you set it on, not on your account, so each computer can look and behave differently.

🎨 Appearance#

"Make the app your own. These are saved on this computer and apply the next time it opens too."

Setting	Options
Theme	Dark (the default) or Light. Light is a true light mode, not an inversion.
Accent color	Blue, Teal, Violet, Rose, Amber, or Custom colour with a picker. It colours buttons, links and the active state.
Text size	Small, Default, Large or XL. It scales the whole interface — text, spacing and icons together.

The sun/moon button in the top bar ("Switch to light mode") flips between light and dark in one click.

🧩 Profile defaults#

What a freshly created profile starts with: its engine, operating system, language, and so on. Changing these never touches profiles you already have. The New Profile caret menu has a shortcut straight to this panel, Edit default profile settings.

🧰 General#

Clear browser cache on close#

A profile's disposable caches — pages, scripts, GPU shaders — grow every session and carry no logins. This decides when LoginDeck trims them:

Over limit (the default) — only once a profile's caches have grown past the limit below.
Every close — trim every profile whenever it closes.
Never — only when you choose Clear cache… on a profile yourself.

Limit per profile sets how many megabytes of disposable cache a profile may keep, from 16 to 8192. 256 is a sensible default. Page and media caches are already capped at 200 MB when a profile launches; this covers the rest.

Clearing cache never signs you out

Cookies, Local Storage and the fingerprint are never touched by cache trimming. See Tabs, sessions and clearing a profile's cache.

Turns on the local API so your own scripts and AI agents can open and drive profiles on this machine. Off by default, loopback only, and every request needs the token shown here. See Get started with the local API and Let AI agents drive LoginDeck.

Shortcuts can't be reassigned.

The "⌘K" hint on the search box

It's decorative and shows on Windows too. The shortcut that works is Ctrl+F, or ⌘F on a Mac.

🪟 Other per-computer settings#

These aren't in Settings, but they're remembered on this computer too:

Compact rows — the top-bar button that tightens the table.
Which columns you show, their order and their widths — see Search, sort and choose columns.
The tag order above the profile list.

ℹ️ Good to know#

The app's own interface is in English. The Language setting under Profile defaults is the language a profile's browser reports, not the language of LoginDeck.
Windows has no menu bar. On a Mac the standard Edit menu is there for copy and paste.
Appearance settings don't sync. Set them again on your other computers.
