Invoices, receipts and your card

Manage billing opens your Stripe billing portal, where you can download invoices, change your card and add a tax ID or company address.

On this page

Everything to do with your card and your paperwork lives in the billing portal, which LoginDeck opens for you in your browser.

For the account owner who pays by card

The button only appears once you have a card subscription. Members see "member — the workspace owner manages billing".

🧾 Open your billing portal#

  1. In the left sidebar, click Billing.
  2. Find the Current plan panel on the right. Under it is a status line and the button Manage billing.
  3. Click Manage billing. It reads Opening… briefly, then your browser opens a page headed LoginDeck billing. A toast confirms "Billing opened in your browser. Press Refresh here after you change anything."
  4. When you're done, come back to LoginDeck and press Refresh so the app picks up any change.

🔧 What you can do in the portal#

In the portalNotes
Invoice historyEvery invoice and receipt, as a PDF you can download for your records.
Update your cardReplace an expiring card, or switch to a different one.
Update your detailsYour billing email, your address and a tax ID — add a VAT or GST number here and it appears on your invoices.
Cancel your subscriptionTakes effect at the end of the period you've paid for. See Cancel your subscription.

Plan changes aren't in the portal

Changing plan, term or Custom size is deliberately turned off there. Do it on LoginDeck's own Billing page instead, which knows all the sizes. See Upgrade or change your plan.

📊 Reading the status line#

The line above Manage billing is the quickest summary of where your subscription stands:

It saysWhat it means
"Renews 12 Oct 2026."All normal. That's the next charge.
"Cancelled. Your plan stays until 12 Oct 2026."You cancelled. The plan runs to that date, then ends.
"Your last payment did not go through. Update your card to keep this plan."A renewal failed. See below.
"Your subscription has ended. Invoices are still available."The plan is off, but the portal still has your paperwork.

💳 When a payment fails#

Your plan stays on while the card is retried, so a card that expires at the wrong moment doesn't cost you access to your work. Open Manage billing, update the card, and the retry goes through.

If the retries run out, the subscription ends and the plan comes off — your account drops to Free limits, profiles over the limit are locked rather than deleted, and upgrading again opens them straight back up. See Upgrade or change your plan.

🏢 Invoices for a company#

Add your company name, address and tax ID under Update your details in the portal, and they appear on invoices from then on. If you need an earlier invoice reissued with those details, email support@logindeck.com with the invoice number.

LoginDeck is sold by Balmer Island Media Inc., a company registered in Ontario, Canada, which is the merchant of record for your subscription.

⚠️ "this account has no subscription to manage"#

You get this if the account has never paid by card — there's nothing for the portal to show. If you're on Free, there's no billing to manage; if you believe you have paid, check you're signed in to the account that paid, and that you're in your own workspace rather than someone else's.

ℹ️ Good to know#

  • Every invoice and receipt stays in the portal's invoice history, even after a subscription ends.
  • Cancelling in the portal doesn't delete anything. Your plan runs to the end of the period, then you're on Free limits with every profile still there.
  • Refunds aren't in the portal. Our policy is on the refund page; email support@logindeck.com with your order number.
  • Press Refresh in the app after anything you change, or wait — LoginDeck re-reads your plan every 15 minutes.

❓ Common questions#

Where do I download an invoice?

Billing → Manage billing → invoice history. Each one downloads as a PDF.

Can I add my VAT number to an invoice?

Yes — in the portal, under the section for updating your details. It applies to invoices from that point on. For an earlier one, email support@logindeck.com.

My card is about to expire. What do I need to do?

Open Manage billing and update the card before the next renewal. Nothing else changes.

Can I change the email my receipts go to?

Yes, in the portal. That changes the billing email only — your LoginDeck sign-in email is separate. See Change your password or email.

I can't get into the app to reach Manage billing.

Email support@logindeck.com from the address on the account and we'll sort it out.

Who am I actually buying from?

Balmer Island Media Inc., a company registered in Ontario, Canada. It's the merchant of record for LoginDeck, so it's the name on your subscription and your invoices.

Can I change my plan from the portal?

No — plan changes are on LoginDeck's Billing page, which knows every plan size.
