Install LoginDeck on Windows

What you need, how to run the installer, what to do if Windows SmartScreen appears, and what happens the first time LoginDeck opens.

LoginDeck is a desktop app. Your browser profiles run on your own computer, not in someone else's cloud. This page walks you through installing it on Windows and opening it for the first time.

✅ Before you start#

  • Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit.
  • An internet connection. You need it for the first sign-in, and LoginDeck downloads its browser engines the first time it starts.
  • An email address you'll keep, or a Google account. Throwaway inboxes can't hold a LoginDeck account.
  • Proxies are optional. You can add them later, one per profile.

⬇️ Run the installer#

  1. Download the installer from logindeck.com. The file is called LoginDeck-Setup-<version>.exe.
  2. Open it from your Downloads folder.
  3. Follow the installer's pages. You can keep the suggested install folder or choose another one. LoginDeck installs for your Windows user account, so it doesn't ask for an administrator password.
  4. When setup finishes, LoginDeck opens on its own. The installer also adds a LoginDeck shortcut to your desktop and your Start menu.

If Windows shows "Windows protected your PC"#

Windows SmartScreen shows this blue screen for programs it hasn't seen many people install yet.

  1. Click More info.
  2. Check that the app is LoginDeck-Setup-<version>.exe, then click Run anyway.

Antivirus

If your antivirus quarantines the installer or blocks the browser from starting, allow LoginDeck in it and run the installer again. See The app won't install or open.

🔑 Create your account or sign in#

Before the main window opens, LoginDeck shows a separate sign-in window.

Closing the sign-in window quits LoginDeck.

🧩 The first start#

While you look around, LoginDeck downloads the browser engines your profiles run on. A banner across the top shows the progress: Downloading Chromium engine with a percentage and the megabytes so far, then Verifying… and Installing…. The banner disappears when it's done.

  • You can create profiles while it downloads. You can run them once it has finished.
  • If the download fails, the banner says so and shows a Retry button.

When the list is still empty, click Create the first one, or follow the Quick start.

🔄 Updates are automatic#

LoginDeck checks for new versions in the background and downloads them for you. It never restarts on its own: when an update is ready, a banner offers Restart and install or Later. See Updates to LoginDeck and its browser engines.

ℹ️ Good to know#

  • Only one copy of LoginDeck runs at a time. If you open it again, the window you already have comes to the front.
  • On Windows, closing the LoginDeck window quits the app, and every profile browser it opened closes with it.
  • Your profiles are stored in %APPDATA%\LoginDeck and the browser engines in %LOCALAPPDATA%\LoginDeck\engines. Uninstalling LoginDeck doesn't delete your profile data.
