Upgrade or change your plan

Pick a plan and a term on the Billing page, pay in your browser, and see what happens to your profiles when you move up or down.

On this page

Plan changes happen on the Billing page. Checkout opens in your browser, and the new plan applies to every computer on the account as soon as the payment clears.

Only the account owner can do this

Members see "member — the workspace owner manages billing" and "Only the account owner can change the plan for this workspace."

⬆️ Change your plan#

  1. In the left sidebar, click Billing.
  2. Click the card for the plan you want — Pro, Team or Custom. Your current plan's card is marked Current.
  3. Under Term, choose Monthly, 6 months −30% or Yearly −40%. The prices on every card update as you switch.
  4. For Custom only: drag the Profiles slider to the size you need, and pick a Members count from the dropdown ("people you can invite, on top of you").
  5. Check the panel on the right. Your selection lists the plan, profiles, members, term and when it renews; Cost shows the per-month price and then what you'll actually be charged — for example "Billed $204 every 12 months — you save $144."
  6. Click Subscribe. On a plan you already pay for, the button says Change plan instead. While it's working it reads Opening checkout…
  7. Stripe's checkout page opens in your default browser with your email filled in. Pay there. If you have a discount code, use Add promotion code on that page.
  8. Come back to LoginDeck and press Refresh.

The note under the button says it plainly: "Finish the payment in your browser, then press Refresh here. Nothing to reinstall."

You don't have to press Refresh

The app re-reads your plan by itself every 15 minutes, and whenever you open the Account page. Refresh is just the impatient route.

💳 What you get charged#

Any plan change — up, down, a different term, or a resized Custom plan — opens a new checkout at the new price, charged now. When that payment succeeds, your previous subscription is cancelled and the unused time on it becomes credit, applied to your next bill.

The in-app note says: "Checkout opens in your browser. When the payment clears, the new plan replaces your current one, and the unused time on the current plan comes off your next bill."

When the credit shows up

Stripe finalises the credit shortly after the switch, and it comes off your next invoice — which on a yearly term could be a year away. It isn't refunded to your card. Refund questions are covered by our refund policy.

The new plan takes effect immediately, not at your next renewal. That's true of downgrades too.

⬇️ What happens when you downgrade#

Nothing is deleted. If you have more profiles than the new plan covers, the extras are locked:

  • The profiles you launched most recently stay open, up to the new limit. Profiles you've never launched rank after the ones you have.
  • A locked profile keeps its fingerprint, its proxy and its logins. It can't be opened, exported, duplicated, or have its cookies copied out.
  • It can still be edited, moved to a folder, tagged and deleted.
  • Locked profiles don't count toward your sync profile limit or your storage.

You'll see it in the app as: the Run button replaced by a lock (tooltip "Locked by your plan. Click for details"), a locked status, and Locked. See why… in the row's ⋯ menu. That opens This profile is locked, which ends with "Move up a plan and they open again, exactly as they were."

Deleting a profile doesn't unlock another one

The locked set only grows. Deleting an open profile frees a slot for a new profile; it never unlocks one that's locked. Only a plan change does that — and going Pro → Free → Pro → Free picks the open ones afresh each time.

There's no way to choose which profiles stay open. The choice is automatic and based on what you launched most recently.

Three other things change on a downgrade:

  • Team members beyond the new seat count are blocked, most recent joiners first. The roster is kept, so upgrading lets them straight back in.
  • No new computer can join while you're over the computer limit. Computers already on the account keep working; a new one is refused with "Computer limit reached" until enough drop off the list, 30 days after each was last used.
  • Cookie and session sync stops on Free. Sessions already on the server are kept; no new ones go up.

ℹ️ Good to know#

  • Cancelling the checkout costs nothing. You land back on our site and your current plan carries on.
  • Profiles over the limit never disappear. Locked is the worst that happens.
  • Bulk actions tell you about locked profiles: bulk Run reports "Started 12, 3 locked skipped", and an export says "3 locked profiles were left out".
  • The Account and Billing pages show the monthly list price, not your term price. Your invoices, under Manage billing, show what you really pay.
  • Cards only for now. See Payment methods.

❓ Common questions#

Do I get a prorated refund when I upgrade?

Not to your card. The unused time on your old plan becomes a credit on your account and comes off your next bill.

Can I downgrade at the end of my billing period instead of now?

No. Plan changes apply immediately, and the value of the time you'd paid for is carried across as credit rather than lost.

Will my profiles be deleted if I drop to Free?

No. You keep everything. The ones over the limit are locked until you move back up.

Can I pick which 10 profiles stay open on Free?

Not directly. The 10 you launched most recently stay open. Open the ones you want to keep before you downgrade.

I upgraded — do I need to reinstall or restart?

No. Press Refresh on the Billing page, or wait for the app to re-read your plan.

Can I change the number of profiles on a Custom plan later?

Yes. Move the Profiles slider and press Change plan. It's a new checkout at the new price, with credit for the time you'd paid.

Where do I enter a discount code?

On Stripe's checkout page, under Add promotion code. There's no coupon field in the app.
