Organise profiles into folders
Group profiles by client or project with folders, move them in bulk or by dragging, and rename or delete folders safely.
On this page
Folders are the big split in your profile list: one folder per client, project or platform. Each profile sits in exactly one folder, or in none (Unfiled). For finer labels that a profile can have several of, use tags.
Folders also decide what your team sees. When you invite someone, you give them access folder by folder. See What members can see and do.
π Create a folder#
- In the folder column (just right of the left sidebar), click + (New folder).
- Type a Name, for example
Google ads. - Click Create. The new, empty folder opens so you can fill it.
You can also create one while you work: the Folder box in the profile editor has a New folderβ¦ button, and the folder pickers on the list have + New folderβ¦.
π₯ Put profiles in a folder#
Pick whichever is quickest:
- Drag. Drag a profile's row onto a folder in the folder column. If the row is ticked, every ticked row moves with it. You'll see "Moved 3 to Google ads".
- One profile. Click the Folder cell on the row and pick a folder.
- Many profiles. Tick the rows, click Move to folder in the bar at the bottom, choose the Folder, then click Move.
- From the folder. Tick the rows, click β― next to the folder's name, then Move 3 selected here.
- In the editor. Pick a folder in the Folder box on the Overview tab.
Moving a profile changes nothing else about it. Its tags, proxy and fingerprint stay the same.
π View a folder#
- Click a folder's name to show only its profiles. Click it again, or click All profiles, to see everything.
- Unfiled appears at the bottom when some profiles have no folder.
- Find a folder, at the top of the column, filters the folder list by name.
- Picking a folder and a tag together shows only the profiles in that folder with that tag.
To hide the column, click Β« (Collapse folders). Click the folder icon (Show folders) to bring it back.
βοΈ Rename or delete a folder#
Hover over the folder and click β― (or right-click the folder):
- Renameβ¦: type the new name and click Rename. Every profile in it moves with it.
- Select all 12 in folder: ticks every profile in the folder, ready for a bulk action.
- Delete folder: asks first, then removes the folder.
Deleting a folder never deletes profiles
The profiles that were in it move to Unfiled. Their proxies, fingerprints and cookies are untouched.
βΉοΈ Good to know#
- Folder names can be up to 60 characters and must be different from each other (capitals don't count, so
Adsandadsclash). - Folders don't nest, and they don't have colours. Use tag colours for that.
- Folders sync to your other computers along with the profiles in them.
- A profile made with New Profile while a folder is open goes into that folder. Profiles made with Add multiple profiles start in Unfiled.
