Give a profile a proxy
Assign a saved proxy, a one-off URL or a phone — to one profile from the editor or the list, or to many profiles at once.

A profile's exit is set per profile. You can point it at a proxy from your library, type one just for this profile, or bind it to a phone.
🧩 From the profile editor#
- In All profiles, open the row's ⋯ menu and click Edit.
- Open the Proxy tab.
- Under Connection, pick one:
- No proxy — the profile goes out on this computer's own address.
- Saved proxy — choose from Proxy, the library dropdown. Press Check to confirm the exit.
- One-off — type or paste into Proxy URL. Any of the accepted formats works. Check proxy tests it; Save to library turns it into a saved entry.
- Proxy device — choose a Phone you have paired. Refresh reloads the list.
- Click Save changes.
The editor is the place that matches the location
When a check succeeds here, LoginDeck also sets the profile's Language and timezone to match the exit country: "Matched to {city}, {country} — {language}, {timezone}". Nowhere else does that. See Timezone and language follow your proxy.
A profile can have one kind of exit at a time — choosing a saved proxy clears a typed one, and binding a phone clears both.
⚡ From the profile list#
The Proxy & Location column shows each profile's exit. Click the name or the icon ("Click to change the proxy") for a quick menu:
- No proxy — this machine's own IP
- Saved proxy › — a submenu of your library, ticked where it is already set
- One-off URL… — opens the editor on the Proxy tab
- Proxy device › — a submenu of your phones, marked (offline) or (changing IP) where that applies
This is the fast path when you just need to move a profile onto a different exit.
The quick menu doesn't re-check anything
Choosing a proxy here does not look up the new exit, and does not touch the profile's language or timezone — it clears the stored exit so the cell shows "exit not checked" until the next check or launch. Press ↻ in the cell to ask the exit where it is, or set the proxy in the editor if the location should follow.
📦 Many profiles at once#
- Tick the profiles in the list.
- In the dock at the bottom, click Set proxy.
- Choose No proxy (direct) or a saved proxy.
- Click Apply. The toast says "Updated {n}".
Only saved proxies can be set this way — phones and one-off URLs are per profile.
Every selected profile will share that exit
Which is right for a rotating residential plan, and wrong for accounts that must look unrelated. If those accounts each need their own address, assign them one at a time.
📱 Binding a phone#
Pick Proxy device → Phone in the editor, or Proxy device › in the list menu. A bound phone wins over a typed proxy: the phone's address is the source of truth, and it changes when the phone does. Every profile bound to the same phone shares its one address, because a phone has one radio. Setup is in Use an Android phone as a mobile proxy.
If you save a profile in Proxy device mode without choosing a phone, LoginDeck refuses with "Choose a phone, or switch Connection to No proxy".
✅ What you should see afterwards#
The Profile summary panel's Proxy row, and the list's Proxy & Location cell, name the exit: a saved proxy's name, "one-off", 📱 and the phone's name, or "Direct". Press ↻ in the cell to fetch the current address and city.
ℹ️ Good to know#
- A profile with a proxy never falls back to your own address. If the proxy is dead the browser opens and pages fail; if the saved proxy was deleted, the profile refuses to launch.
- Keep one proxy per account-carrying profile. See Good habits that keep accounts safe.
- A one-off URL is parsed at launch, so a typo in it shows up as "this profile's proxy cannot be read" rather than at save time. Press Check proxy before you rely on it.
