The free plan

What Free includes, what it doesn't, and the "one free account per person" rule that's counted by computer and by internet connection.

Free is a real plan, not a trial. No card, no expiry. It's there so you can run LoginDeck properly before you decide whether to pay.

Apart from the rows marked – above, you get the whole app: every fingerprint setting, both browser engines and every version, folders, tags, notes, bulk actions, cookie import and export, proxy checks, and phones as mobile proxies.

Two things to know about the limits:

  • Sync works on Free. Your profiles, saved proxies, tags, folders and Flows travel to your second computer. What doesn't travel is the cookies and site data, so a synced profile arrives as the same identity but logged out. See Cookie and session sync.
  • The 20 AI actions don't come back. They're a one-off taste, not 20 a month. The Account page labels them AI actions (free taste). Paid allowances reset on the 1st of each month. See LoginDeck AI actions.

πŸšͺ "Free is full"#

Try to create an eleventh profile and you get the dialog Free is full: "Free covers 10 profiles and you have 10. Nothing has been deleted, and the profiles you have keep working. Delete one you no longer use, or move up a plan." β†’ See plans.

Deleting a profile frees the slot immediately. See Delete and restore profiles and Plans and what each one includes.

πŸ‘€ One free account per person#

The free plan is one per person, and LoginDeck enforces that two ways.

By computer#

The first account used on a computer holds that computer's free plan β€” for good, whether that account is free or paid. Another account can work on the machine, but only on a paid plan.

Trying to sign up a second account on the same computer is refused: "This computer already has a LoginDeck account (bβ€’β€’β€’@gmail.com). Sign in to it instead. If you need a second account on this computer, email support@logindeck.com."

If you sign in with a free account made elsewhere, you'll get in but the window frosts over with This computer's free plan is taken β€” "The free plan is one account per person. This computer was first used with the account below, so its free plan belongs to that account." It names the holder (masked), and offers Upgrade this account or Sign in as that account.

Reinstalling doesn't reset anything

Reinstalling LoginDeck, clearing its data, adding a Windows user or reinstalling Windows all leave the computer the same computer. Only its hardware identity counts, and only a hash of that is ever sent.

By internet connection#

A free account in use on a connection holds it. A second free account used from the same connection is blocked: This network already has a free account β€” "Another free LoginDeck account is in use on this internet connection. The free plan is one account per person, so this one needs a paid plan to work here."

  • The hold lapses 7 days after the holder was last seen there.
  • The other account is never named β€” on a shared connection it could be a stranger's.
  • Paid accounts never take a hold and are never blocked by one. Upgrading releases the connection straight away.
  • Signing up isn't blocked on a held connection, so a colleague can still create an account in order to pay.

On a shared connection?

An office, school, cafΓ©, coworking space or VPN can put two unrelated people on one address. Email support@logindeck.com and we'll exempt the account.

βœ‰οΈ What's checked at sign-up#

  • Throwaway inboxes are refused: "Use a permanent email address. Throwaway inboxes cannot hold a LoginDeck account."
  • Aliases of an inbox that already has an account are refused: "There is already an account for this inbox (bβ€’β€’β€’@gmail.com). Sign in to it instead." Gmail dots are ignored and a +tag is stripped on every domain.
  • A cap on new accounts from one connection β€” 3 a day and 6 a month: "Too many new accounts from this internet connection. Try again tomorrow, or email support@logindeck.com."

See Create your LoginDeck account.

ℹ️ Good to know#

  • Nothing is ever deleted by a limit. Every one of these messages ends by saying so, and it's true: hitting a limit stops something being added, never removes what's there.
  • Upgrading fixes all three blocks at once β€” the taken computer, the held connection and the profile ceiling. The plan applies to every computer on the account as soon as the payment clears.
  • The device gate steps aside on the Billing and Account pages, so you can always upgrade or switch accounts from a blocked computer.
  • Signing into a second account on one install doesn't mix the profiles. Each account gets its own folder, and you see only that account's profiles.
  • A second person in your household needs their own paid plan, or a seat in your workspace (Pro and up). A second free account is refused on a computer that already has one, and on an internet connection that already has one. See How teams work.

❓ Common questions#

Is the free plan really free forever?

Yes. 10 profiles, no card, no expiry date. It doesn't drop to a smaller number after a trial period.

Can I make a second free account for my assistant on my PC?

No. Your computer's free plan belongs to your first account. They need a paid plan of their own, or a seat in your workspace (Pro and up) using their own account. See Invite people to your team.

Two of us at home on two separate PCs, both on Free. Why is one blocked?

Because the free plan is counted by internet connection as well as by computer. The hold lapses 7 days after the first account was last used, or you can upgrade either account, or email support@logindeck.com if you're on a genuinely shared connection.

Will my profiles sync on Free?

Yes β€” profiles, proxies, tags, folders and Flows, across 2 computers. Cookies and logins don't, so the profile arrives logged out.

What happens when I hit 10 profiles?

The dialog Free is full appears. Delete one you no longer need, or move up a plan. Nothing is deleted for you.

Is there a trial of Pro?

No. Free is the trial, and it doesn't run out. See Plans and what each one includes.

I bought a new laptop and Free says two computers is my limit.

A computer drops off the count 30 days after it was last used, so an old machine clears itself. See Use LoginDeck on another computer.
