Add a proxy
Save a proxy once in the Proxies library, then point as many profiles at it as you like. Pasting a provider line fills every field.
The Proxies page is your library: proxies saved here are referenced by profiles, so when a provider rotates a password or moves a gateway, you fix it once instead of once per profile.
➕ Add one#
- In the left sidebar, under Workspace, click Proxies.
- Click + Add proxy (or Add the first one if the list is empty).
- Paste your provider's line into Host. Type, port, login, password, name and any Change IP link fill themselves.
- Give it a Name you will recognise in a dropdown later, for example
UK residential 1. - Click Add proxy. The toast says "Proxy saved".
If you would rather fill the fields yourself:

Have a whole list? Use Import instead: Import a list of proxies.
✏️ Edit or delete#
- Click the proxy's name in the list (or ⋯ → Edit) to reopen it as Edit "{name}", then Save.
- ⋯ → Delete removes it. If profiles are using it, the dialog says how many.
Deleting a proxy that profiles use
Those profiles will refuse to launch until you point them somewhere else. That is deliberate — starting them on your own address is worse than not starting them. Their Proxy & Location cell reads "🔗 deleted proxy" until you fix it.
🔗 Point a profile at it#
Saving a proxy does not attach it to anything. Assign it from the profile editor's Proxy tab, from the Proxy & Location column, or to many profiles at once: Give a profile a proxy.
🛟 If it will not save#
The dialog reopens with what you typed and a red message:
- host is required / port is required — one of the two boxes is empty.
- "{value}" is not a port — ports run from 1 to 65535.
- "{value}" has no port — you pasted a bare address. Add
:port. - use scheme://user:pass@host:port or host:port:user:pass — the line is not a shape LoginDeck recognises. The accepted formats are listed in Which proxy should I use?.
- unknown proxy type "{x}" — use http, socks5 or socks4 — the scheme at the front is not supported.
ℹ️ Good to know#
- Saved proxies, credentials included, are encrypted and synced to your other computers, and they are included in profile export files. Keep those files private.
- Passwords are never shown in the proxies table — it is the screen most likely to end up in a screenshot.
- A proxy that needs a username is reached through a small helper on this computer, because Chromium cannot send proxy credentials from a command line. While a profile is running, another program on the same computer could use that helper. It is bound to this machine only, and it closes when LoginDeck quits.

https://line pasted into Host on a new proxy sets Type to HTTP, because the HTTPS pill only appears when editing a proxy that is already HTTPS. Use Import for HTTPS proxies. - New proxies are checked for you after an import, but a proxy added here is not. Run ⋯ → Check now to see where it exits: Check proxies.
- There is no limit on how many proxies you can save, on any plan.
